Diaper Stroller Cake

So after my attempt of the diaper cake, I decided to try the Diaper Stroller cake. This time I made it for my in-laws who were expecting a baby. The gender? No one knows, not even mommy and daddy, so I tried going neutral and getting stuff that was on the mommy-to-be's registry. Here are the pictures. I tried taking pictures of each step so you get an idea on how I did it. Sorry for the mess by the way!

What You Need
[50] Size 2-3 diapers
[48] Size 5 diapers
[3] Receiving blankets
[1] Long blanket
[1-2] Bibs/burp cloths
[2] Wash cloths
[2] Paper Towel Roll
A bag of Rubber bands
Ribbons
Tape
Scissors
The FINISHED Diaper Cake

Step 1. Place about 30 diapers in a row and then about 3 diapers on each side and tie a rubber band around it. Make sure you get a long oval shape.
Step 2. Use the receiving blanket and cover the diapers like your wrapping a gift and place rubber bands on the outside like shown above. one rubber-band on each side and one rubber-band on the bottom that will keep the bottom in tack.
Step 3. For the headrest of the stroller, take about and use the diapers to make a curve on the corners. Take a rubber band and use it to keep the diapers together, like shown above.
Step 4. Use another receiving blanket and cover it like your wrapping a gift. Use a rubber band to hold the sides or a safety pin.
Step 5. Attach a bib or burp cloths on the head rest of the stroller.

Step 6. Take another receiving blanket and place it on top of the head rest. If possible, try and tuck the sides to the rubber band on the body.

Step 7. Take a blanket (longer than receiving blanket) and use it to shape the outside of the stroller and use a ribbon to hold it down.

Step 8. Attach the wheels to body of the stroller and use a ribbon to attach the paper towel roll to the bottom of the body.

So I noticed that I didn't take any pictures of the wheels for the diaper stroller. I used about 12 (size 5) diapers for the wheels and just rolled it into a circle so that it looks like a wheel. Basically laying them flat and then placing each diaper on top of another. Use a rubber band to tie around the diapers to keep it in place and then use a ribbon to decorate. On the paper towel roll, tape a wash cloth in the middle of each roll. Then place a wheel on each side of the paper towel roll. Make sure to put two diapers inside the roll as wheel, just to keep it sturdy. Next time, if I happen to try this diaper stroller again, I will make sure to take pictures of everything step by step. Anyways, I hope you enjoyed!

XOXO,
